Just need to let off steam.
I keep my shed key on a nail round the back of the shed (I know- I should know better but kept forgetting to take it when I brought it home every time!). Got to the plot today and it was gone, and the padlock on the door was locked. Searched all round in case it had fallen down but no sign, so had to go home to get a screwdriver to remove the latch to get into the shed. No sign of anything missing or anyone having been in, but I always use the key to lock the padlock then hang it up and have checked all my trouser pockets etc.

Now I'll have to go and buy a new lock but I'm convinced someone has taken the key- but why? Very frustrating!

Some people take things just because they can :(

Someone would have been behind a tree close by watching you search diligently and chuckling.   I suspect that when you have fitted the new hasp, staple and padlock the original key will be returned !    :o

Cheers,      Tony.

Ace, wish I'd logged on earlier. OH bought a padlock at Morrison's this morning and on the way home said "should have got one with a combination!" >:( Think I might anyway and take the other one back.

And Louise, I came up with that idea too- OH wasn't convinced! ;D
