Chicken Satay Recipe?

Have any of you got a tried n tested tasty satay recipe? Have googled but the difference in the recipes are vast!
Won't be using the peanut sauce as I can't eat it, but wan't to do it with a sweet chilli dipping sauce.

GREENWIZARD

you'll need :- 1lb chicken breast cut into strips                 serves 4
                     marinade:-1tsp ground black pepper
                                      1tsp ground cumin
                                      1tsp ground corriander
                                      1tsp chopped garlic
                                      1/2tsp ground tumeric
                                      1tbsp sugar
                                      1tbsp veg oil
                                      1tbsp soy sauce
                                      1tbsp lemon or lime juice
                                      1tsp fish sauce

bamboo skewers(soak in water) & a little coconut milk or veg oil for basting.

mix all ingredients together & allow the chicken to marinate from 2hrs to 24hrs ( the longer the better)
thread the chicken on to soaked skewers & grill or griddle until golden basting if necessary.

i hope you like this recipe.i usually serve it on a crispy salad with a plum & chilli dipping sauce.

Unfortunately we got home v late so I did a chuck the chook and leftovers in a pan job! Now aiming to try it Monday! Will let you know how I get on! Have 2 recipes to try out, Green Wizards one, and my sisters one, so going to try half and half! Sisters recipe to follow!

Chicken/Pork Satay

2lbs meat
2 cloves garlic crushed
4 tblspoons soy sauce
1-tablespoon chilli sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 Tablespoon soft brown sugar
1 large onion chopped
Black pepper
¾ pint chick stock
4oz-unsalted butter

Thread skewers. Put all ingredients (not butter) IN liquidiser
Melt butter and pour into sauce, pour over meat reserving some, marinade, cook gas 4 45-60 mins.

Well the jury is back! I made both types of satays, (though omitted fih sauce from Green W's as I can't eat it) and the verdict is......................................................drum roll please........................................
they are both delicious!
Green's has a spicier flavour, sisters was sweeter, but both excellent! The family woolfed them both down! DP

I have to say the smell of rotting shrimp has never appealed to me Wiz! Great recipe, thanks for that! (I prefered yours, the spicey one!)
