Yet another plant that is a bit confused, these globe artichokes were grown from side shoots last year and two are producing fruit now.

The row along the path look almost as good as they did in the summer

Ophi

I popped two plants in last year and they seem to be growing quite happily.  I was not expecting them to keep going this long but my cardoon in my border is looking brighter than usual too.

gosh! I usually get artichokes here in April!!! Mine are flourishing, usually they die right back now, but they are still large, especially the two Italian artichokes I planted in October. I will have 5 plants this year! woohoo, love artichokes.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
