potato blight ?

over the course of the growing season  my main late potato foliage as died off, but on the foliage were quite a few  marble size potatoes. On returning after being away for many weeks due to illness The foliage now as completely gone only a few dry stalk es are left, on digging up the potatoes I find that 4 out of 6 potatoes have some black spots inside when cut open. The skins are OK but some are a bit course. I have been told by someone that this is blight, but the foliage did not rot and they had no rotting smell. Could this be blight or could it be something else.
