Making a bed for broard beans, thinking of using the pea & bean booster or sowing some sort of bean as green manure to innoculate the soil with the right enzyme. Going to start the broard beans off in feb in pots any suggestions as to whether i should do either both or neither of the above?

You could use a field bean first... but if you are using the innoculant thing make sure you get the right one!  :)

I've not come across this before. Why do you inoculate the soil?

Apparently its an enzyme in the soil that allows beans to fix more of their own nitrogen mr foothergills do one, but if you have grown beans before the enzyme will be there. Your right saddad probably use a field bean as green manur. Infradig these enzyme ar supposed to increase yeilds by 30% if its only a third of that it will be worth giving it a go.
