here we go again, I've actually seen one now and it doesn't look like this, any ideas, please?
strange, the plants I saw in eden looked nothing like this and there are lots of different pictures on the net, some look like mine.  I'd hate to start chewing on a root and it turn out to be something nasty  ;D

I've never grown those myself..but if somebody would have show your photo without telling what it might be...liqourice would have been first quess.
I worder if there is different varieties/strains..or if the leaves differ depending how established roots are.
You just have to taste a bit without swallowing first...you'll soon find out.. :-X

Was it difficult plant to grow?
Are you growing it under cover?
Did you do any special preparations to the soil before planting?
How tall is it now?
Has it flowered yet?
How long has it been in ground?
Uh..so many questions to ask.. ::) ;D Its something I've wanted grow for while now ...but so far I haven't got any further than reading about it.

Bought it from Saddads open day
It's in the poly, having been moved 3 times

About 2'6"
No

It's handsome enough just to grow as a plant - do you know if it's ok with frost?

Oh dear..Saddad, do you know what killed it?
I was wondering about the winter hardiness too..does it need good layer of dry mulch over roots in GH/poly?..would that be enough?
Manics..what preparation have you done for winter keeping?
I'm itching to ask loads of questions so I can decide what amount work is involved..I might get a plant or two..eventually..

It seems to die down a bit over winter, it has gone through the last 2 winters with no extra protection and it got down to -10 in there last year  ;D
