Sowed some of these minature pumpkin seeds and there ready to be planted out.

Has anyone grown these before ?
Do you let them roam along the ground or give them a frame to climb up ?

Thanks for any advice.

We grew ours up a small trellis at the back of a bed  :)

Did they take much supporting manics ?

John85

Mine are running over the ground(but I put a tile under the fruits)
Don't let them grow too big:they are not so tasty anymore.

not too bad, the trellis was only about a foot high, I tied it in here and there :)

Thanks, i'll try and get them to grow off the ground.

They will grow up or down,  and they keep well.

What about taste Jeannine please?

Jeannine

Ityls pretty good, not the best to be truthful, but as it is so pretty and decorative over Thanksgiving and Haoweeen or the fall in general, it is good to be able to eat it after that. I nearly always grow it and Baby Boo too, We need soem fun in our lives.

I cut them in half scoop out, pat of butter , season amd microwave. Makes one serving for two nicelyu.

Sounds like an idea, it's about time I tried the ones I grew last year, I can also do the same with my hooligans.

Skins 'n' all Jeannine ?

Jeannine

Yep, leave the skins on , then just  scoop out the soft cooked from the skin as you woulkd a baked potato. You cam mash it in the skin and add more seasoning iof you wish while on the plate.. It looks pretty like a little fluted bowl.

There is a wide range of taste even on plants growing on the same plot in the same conditions:some have a nice nutty flavour ,some are tasteless. The first fruits on the plant are often the best.
Nobody seems to know why or how to avoid this.
Any suggestions?
I grow organically.
