Yes, Tim, afterwards. Very typical for here, and can provide some fabulous photos, a good 'dumping' of snow followed by a cold front that is so cold it contains no moisture resulting in fabulous blue skies. It's cloudy today though, makes a change I suppose.

I echo what Busy Lizzie says.  Today it was glorious in the North East.

I was at the lottie digging out a few dandelions :-\ - the soil was workable

but I did wonder for how much longer we would have these spring-like

conditions.  Shall delay planting out my soft fruit  ( raspberry, blueberry,

blackberry)...unless anyone can tell me they would not be harmed by a

sudden cold snap??

I'd have thought that you'd need to get them in. At least I've planted mine :o . I belive that frost problems with these would be blossom or fruit related and that the plants themselves are hardy (not sure about blueberries).

Nice bright sunny day here, chilly but nowhere near cold enough for snow or frost.  Still waiting for this cold snap to arrive here,  - spring conditions alive and well in Whitley Bay.  Night's are getting lighter too, birds chattering and buds and bulbs appearing.  Really cheers me up to see it.  Sat last night with husband and made our plans in our lottie book on where to plant what.  Even started planting some seeds for indoor trays  today.   :) busy_lizzie
