Well I won't be using it!! Sweeter? Yuck! I'm more on the route to soya milk or no milk at all! Give the cows a break, says I!!!

I can't help laughing at all the names I have found in my head for it..it would have to be something catchy for the supermarket

Bovine booby milk ?

I also am wondering who is related to the cows, they used human genes, so somebody somewhere has a cow for a relative.

"I Can't believe It's Not Human Milk" catchy eh?

anyway it must be an improvement on the stuff they made stuffed full of Melamine..........

anyway they'll probably explode just like the watermelons

I couldn't help laugh at the thought of all the cow relatives someone is going to have!!!

If it really is safe (and I am still not sure about genetic modification) I can see it being helpful when feeding babies who do not have access (for whatever reason) to proper breast milk.  I couldn't drink it myself tho - makes me cringe.

... Just as the local ice cream up here has the trade name of "Mr Moo's"... That makes me cringe too... makes me wonder what it's made of  ;) !!!!!

Nestle did this years ago, they have herds of cattle that have some human DNA, these produce the milk that's used for baby milk powder. ( ever wondered why babies can drink the stuff?)
You couldn't make it up!

Question is, what woman's DNA did they use? She will soon be lactating around the world and might not even know it, La Leche League should give her a medal or somethin' .

I just finished reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks which deals with how her cells have been used around the world in so many scientific studies but she was unaware of it and died not knowing her impact. Great read but back to this thread... ::)

Gives an odd twist to the expression Aunt Daisy.

So what is next?  A cow that produces wine?  Now that could be useful.  I could keep a few in my paddock!!

Especially if you can get a nice cold rose out of it.  I would get one of those!

GeeGee

I honestly thought this was a joke as I was browsing through the thread titles!

I'm in total shock!  :o

I really am lost for words!

The children in America call their mummies 'mommy'.

Perhaps the Chinese will call this Moomy Milk!  ;D
