Had a nice trip out today to Burton Agnes Hall (near Driffield , east yorks). It was open for NGS but there was also a Gardeners' Fair, which was mostly plants but also some unusual ornaments etc . The walled garden is lovely, so many plants in separate "rooms" , including veg, with giant games and a maze as well, so something for everyone. I was very restrained (haven't got room for any more plants) and just bought some sage and a rustic balancing bird ornament.

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I haven't been yet either, and it's not far... but then I've not "done" Castle Howard yet either, and that's withing walking distance...

I really must get to Burnby Hall this year for their water lillies (supposed to be largest natural collection in Europe...)  This isn't too far from you either Caroline.
