hi guys,,i keep hens and ducks on a allotment in 2 runs with the house at one end of run,
i have a 2feet walk way beaten them.

is it ok to make the runs all one.. my duck run has a little pond about 2 foot deep in it..
will the hens and ducks go back in the own sheds or will they go in each others sheds ..will it put them of laying ,,what about fighting for food ...and out ells you can help with,,

Hmmm..as in closed environment I would keep them separate..they would have different diet/food and either would quite happy dive in each 'dinner'...and if you are qoing to administer them with worming stuff or any other treatments..well that would differ too..dosage most likely...
From birds point of view it don't matter that much..but from the bird keepers  point of view..it will be easier to manage two separate lots.
When they free range it they do mix with no problems.

I wouldn't keep them together, occasionally I'll find a chicken has roosted overnight in the duck house but usually because she has been bullied out of the hen house. Chickens bully ducks and keep them away from their food. Also it's not good for chickens to be kept in the same house as ducks because they get respiratory problems from damp and duck houses are usually damp.
