my sister gave me a couple of gorgeous mini cross stitch kits where the aida is 4in across the smallest holder i have found is 4inch across so too big for my works does anyone know of any smaller ones, it has been suggested to use a frame you would mount it in afterwards but cant find any less then a pack of six of those, any ideas
all help gratefully received
thanks

Are you refering to frames whilst stitching?  If so, can you not just hold it whilst stitching?  That's what I've done when doing very small kits.  If it's true Aida, then small pieces hold their shape well.

If you are talking about framing it afterwards, then photoframes would be small.

Hi Mat yes i am talking about the frame to hold it whilst stitching, i just find it so much easier in a hoop or frame then holding it, but looks like thats what i may have to do thanks for answering

I make small "frames" to hold small pieces out of stiff card & sellotape the material to it

Just an idea and I don't know if it will work or not.  Have you tried one of those large Sellotape rolls.  The ones with thick cardboard centres.  Empty they measure about 2.5 inches agross and you could sellotape your work to it.
