I inadvertently picked up a bag of these when buying all the seeds for the bread, anyone else add them or will they stay hard ?

I have a bag and they make a good addition to seeded bread - I sometimes toast them a little before adding though - they should stay nice and firm..

I have never tried them but you got me interested and I found this site

It sounds as though they are good for you.

Let us know how you get on and if you like the taste.

I suppose they may be nice used instead of sesame seeds.

Wonder what you get if you plant a few??

Wonder what you get if you plant a few??...if you are lucky you get Hemp plant ::) ;D...make your own rope incredient or smoke the dope ;D
Unfortunately any hemp seed that is sold for culinary purposes..should have been heat treated to prevent germinations... ::)..often some do escape unharm from the heat ;D..only way to find out is to sow some on damp towel and see if any does germinate. But then we are in the territory of "criminal gardening" ::)

Hugh did quite a big piece on hemp in one of recent programmes, last week I think, so if you can catch up with that or on his website you should find some interesting recipes/ideas
