Community payback spotted on local cyclepath BURNING hazel. Bean poles, pea sticks.......all up in smoke and I couldn't even rescue any  :'( :'( :'(

Big long things are a bad idea in a bike, unless you want to be feature on oops TV  ;D

I would have done it for free toooooooo  ;)

The wardens burn stuff too unless it is too large for school kids to build barriers across the cycle path. Of course they could just pile it by a road with a sign saying free firewood and the kids wouldn't get a chance. Actually forget the sign it would get 'rehomed' anyway......

Had community payback helping build a fence down the back of the allotments last year, tools disappeared, compost heaps damaged, tops of coldframes smashed, next doors shed 'pushed over' to get it out of the way and a load of rubbish dumped on the back of the allotment. Better if you let them burn things  :-\
