Welcome and what nice pics. We do like to see other folks plots. Rewarding when you see the before and afters
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Wow you have done well in your first year.  Have you been growing somewhere else.  You do not look new to veggie growing to me.

I love to see plots where every possible inch is in use.  I am impressed by the size of your water butt.

Thank you. Never grown veg before, anywhere. We got a book about growing veggies, asked people with allotments, 'googled' on the net to get advise.  I thought things just wouldn't grow, would get eaten (some has), die, but everything has grown fantastically!!!  We lost quite alot of cabbbage and caullis due to caterpillars, most of the swedes have some sort of grub in them, a little white-ish maggot like grub and I'm disappointed with my pumpkins but other than that it is amazing!  I'm happiest when down the allotment with the OH, the dog and a picnic  :)

We never thought we would get any rain to actually fill the water butt even a 1/4 full,  we had the idea to build the rain catcher/canopy so when, and if it did rain there was more of a catchment for the rain and we also have a shelter.

I'd like to share a few more photos I have taken today...I am so pleased with the allotment I can't help but show it off  :)

Marrow patch...we have had so many marrows off just 4 plants, there are also 3 cougette plants in there too.

What lovely photos Lisa, you have done really well in your first year.
Your allotment looks as though it's in a lovely place, do you get manure from the horses next door?
