Stawberries flowering

I got some Florence strawberries on offer from Van Meuwen and put them in pots while i prepared the ground. Some of them are now flowering- should I remove the flowers before planting out, as presumably they won't fruit this late?

last year one of our new plotholders had ripe strawberries in November in the open ground. Unless the plants look like they need building up, I'd go for it

Some of mine are now flowering, also in pots waiting to go in the ground, I'm just going to leave them and see what happens, if they start developing fruit I might move them to the greenhouse.

I usually get a second flush, depdns on weather as to how many. Ive often picked the last strawbs in November. Theyre in the ground not pots and are established. If youre going to plant them out soon Id take the flowers off so the plants put their energy into rooting and building up the crown for next year. If theyre going to stay in pots overwinter Id leave them be..

I am still getting a few strawberries, although with the drought this year's crop is pitiful. As long as there is no frost you can still get fruit.

Quite a few of mine have decided to start flowering it will be interesting to see how many ripen.  Florian has been cropping all through the summer but pity about the lack of taste!!!

oh... my floriasns have tasted ok, problem for me was lack of crop.... tho first year from seed so we'll have to see next year....

I have Florence and Albion and they are both still flowering and I am still getting strawbs from them both, they are both ever bearers.
