Maybe some type of Vaccinium? i.e. some type pf huckleberry, bilberrry or whatever?

lalilala

I think we have it. Hooray! I did plant a huckleberry on my lotti last year. in the Autumn I was told it was a 'deadly nightshade'. I thought perhaps the huckleberry had died and the NS had invaded. Did lots of research but could not come to a definite conclusion as the berries were very similar. I may have planted a seedling in my garden. (I am a very disorganised gardener!) Not sure if I shall dig it up as I still have a seed of doubt(excuse the pun).

Thanks to all.

I've gone with the wind as well, cos I was sure it was hypericum (which I've in my shrubberies - no surprises there, cos I planted them there)....and I've never ever planted a huckleberry ;D

Google something like "hypericum images" and see if you can find a close-up of the flower and berries just to be sure?
