Which type???

This may have been asked before, but I would like to know peoples preference to which type of pot they use.
Be it terracotta, plastic or whatever I think there is room for all types.
I have used plastic a lot due to starting selling the rest of the plants I cannot fit into my space.
I have terracotta (my fathers) for little plants that I wish to keep.
I also make paper ones for the plants which need to be potted on into larger pots.
I also have large clay pots for the shrubs which need bringing in in the winter.
We have worked it out that with all varieties of pot we have close on 2500 pots of various composites.
I think there is room for debate about which type to use and the cost involved, but we all have room for all and are willing to try others.
Let me know which you use most and which you would like to have.

as you say,it depends on the job in hand as to which type gets used...we keep broken/cracked terracotta pots to smash up and use as drainage in larger pots

i overwintered all my chilis except one in plastic pots. They only needed some water every 10 days or so. The compost in the terracotta pot dried out every couple of days, which was a real pain. Actually and probably coincidentally it died too

I like the different debths of the pots for different plants rather than materials..
shallow ones but wider for those that do grow strong rootball..and extra deeps..etc.
I mainly use standard ones as selling the surplus is cheaper with those.. ;)
But for my own use..I use what each type of plant requires.. ;D..only the best for me.. ;)

I love the way terracotta looks and the loss of moisture probably helps keep plants cool in very hot weather, but yes they do get dry very fast don't they?

I've got some pots out the front, and the glazed ones rarely need watering, but the unglazed terracotta one always has limp plants in it!
