I am thinking some of my courgettes have got mildew!, because ive been watering them liberally and getting the leaves wet!.  Its like a light coloured whitish/greyish patching on top of a few of the plants.

Edit..... Ive just been back to the allotment and removed the affected leaves (about 1 big on one plant and 2 on another).  This wont have harmed the plant i take it?

No, Phil - courgettes are pretty tough once they get going. Most varieties I've grown get mildewed leaves at some point, I just remove them as and when.

The plants will recover from a couple of leafs removal, you could also try the watered down milk spray solution.

Hi

I second GodfreyRob - can someone please explain the milk spray thing and Bi-carb thingy?

My courgettes suffered badly with mildew last year.  :(

My Courgettes have not yet been planted out as I think they ay be a bit too small, so far. I have them in small pots and the bottom two leaves on each plant have gone very pale alost yellow. Is that the same as mildew? Do you think I should just remove them before I plant out? ???
