Hops and rabbits

Must be a joke in there somewhere! Just wondering whether spent hops, which I use a lot as a mulch, are likely to repel or attract rabbits. Anyone have any evidence, anecdotal or otherwise?

Never heard anything about rabbits but spent hops are said to be highly toxic for dogs.

:oJust googled this and it seems greyhounds are particularly susceptible. maybe I should put up a warning notice at my plot.
