I planted some PSB last year, can't remember when or what type it is (am making better notes this year!) it is about a foot or so high, healthy looking but no actual PSB! Any idea when it will bear fruit (so to speak) or if I should dig it up and use the bed!  ??? ??? ??? ???

Our Purple Cape Cauliflower are in full production now... usually finished by the end of Feb., and no PSB out at all yet...

My PSB didn't make it through the winter :'( the snow settled on the nets and what didn't rot got eaten by birds through the net! couldn't get there at all for a few weeks as it's down a country lane which floods anyway

One psb plant decided to got into production many of the rest had been dieing off one by one though several now look promising.  Some of those that survived the winter rotted off in the rain.  At least two plants look amazingly healthly but are showing no signs of purple or sprouting at all, they are just a very large headless brassica and growing more leaves all the time.

And the Muntjacs are still attacking them.

No sign of any PSB for me either yet here in the Midlands...my daughter loves it and keeps asking when she can eat it....i'm sure we have usually eaten every possible bit by now

Just picked some from Joe's redundant allotment (with permission).  They should have been netted.  Mine are netted and just recovering, but I am so impatient.

If yours is not sprouting yet, you may be better off using the soil for something else.

picked a good couple of handfuls today, OH did a chilli and garlic dressing to go over it once it had steamed for 2 mins...was beautiful!!!  We had it with our first barbie of the season too!!

I planted a load of PSB plants late last year, and decided to do a bit of an experiement , not netting half of them overwinter. Pigeons had a feast until early Jan. when I gave in and netted them. Interestingly, the plants that had been attacked are smaller than the netted ones, but are now producing well. The netted ones are bigger but only just budding up! ::)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
