Gardeners World - At last Alys Fowler

The Times has an interesting spread about Alys's new program to be shown this week.

I am glad that the BBC took notice of my comment my previous Gardeners World posting on March 5th and am amazed at  their quick response.

I hope I have to eat my words as there have been a lot of postings praising Alys and maybe this might be her forte.

Hmmm. Interesting article certainly. Think I might have to make more of an effort to catch this in the week.

I do like having the odd quirky presenter every now & then. Makes you try things while at the same time thinking 'this probably isn't as nuts as what I've just seen on the telly'  ;D

Certainly another one who's passionate about her subject, which really is all you can ask for.

Geoff Hamilton did a similar series years back about growing flowers/veg together. I've got the book somewhere

I couldn't warm to Alys on Gardener's World so wont be watching this new one. Good luck to her though and I hope she has better producers and cameramen than those that blight many a programme these days. Couldn't watch Carol Klein's programme a few years back because of the arty shots of her boots through  the grass, often out of focus

those sprouts she was sowing looked interesting (didn't catch the name but they looked a bit frilly) I noticed she only planted 1 per module and thought that she must have been very confident that they would germinate, I always sow several and choose the strongest
