If you are going to have a quick dash down to the allotment what will you cover up?

Can't decide whether or not to cover the ruhubarb.

Rhubarb sits happily outside all year so I don't know why you would cloche it ??? Maybe just put a a little straw around it if you are feeling paranoid.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Cloches are good for getting things a couple of weeks ahead of the season. They'd be good for strawberries, for instance. Rhubarb is so tough and deep rooted that I doubt wheher it would make much difference. You might well find that the temperature a foot down is the crucial thing for it.
