This weekend I am going on my sister's hen do and we are staying here.

It is right next to clumber park, which has a huge walled garden.

Think I am going to take some time out for a wander. In 'grow your own' magazine a couple of months ago it listed the gardens as one of the 'must visit' vegetable gardens in the UK.

Anyone been there?

i live 15 mins away and i go for a look round 3 or 4 times a year its quite nice but they always seem to be renovating the glass houses and some always seem be closed but still worth a look, you pay for the walled garden but the rest of the gardens are free and there is an awful lot else to see, some very nice walks around the lake there is a wee garden shop, tea room, cycle hire, very nice church (sometimes locked). i think its a very nice day out if weather is fine, there may be some ww2 exhibitions aswell as it was used a lot by the army, the mansion isnt there nemore but you van see the foundations of where it was.
you may be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with de reaper.

 ;D ;D ;D

I might not have that much time as we are in the spa all of Sat.

I am super excited about the weekend.

Have been organising it for ages and have got table settings, favours and special cupcakes made. Also have got some games planned for our pre-meal party.

Now I have googled for a few images of the gardens I am just about ready to explode!!
