Having seen strawberries grown at chest height for easy picking on TV, I thought that I would have a go myself.

There are three growbags, each containing 3 strawberry plants, a different variety in each - Cambridge Favourite, Pandora, and Maxim.
The frame underneath can be used as normal.

I grew strawberries on some racking (in pots and growbags) last year, made it so much easier for picking and I could also monitor how many my grandson ate when he was supposed to be picking for jam making

For a few years, I have grown my strawberries in old fish boxes raised up about 2 ft on recycled metal supports. The boxes are filled with recycled peat topped with good loam. I use at least 8 plants to a box. It defeats slugs, snails, mice and reduces moulds, as well as keeping the strawberries clean.
