Is scaffold netting ok for strawberries or is it too close-knit to allow pollination?

In the past, I've used scaffold netting (debris netting) - the blue type - but only when the strawberries are starting to ripen, to keep the birds off. It worked ok, but because it was after the fruit set,  can't confirm about pollination. Would think it may hinder the insects quite a lot.

Your strawberries only need netting after pollenation to keep off the birds.

They also need protecting from slugs and snails who sneek in underneath the soil...

That makes sense! ::) Thanks!

We have been having problems with rabbits attacking the leaves so lots of people have their strawberries already netted, but it is the normal open weave stuff.
