Some of you may remember that my beloved cat, Shelley, had to be put down last month aged 21.  Today I received a PM from someone on here who I have come to consider a true friend.  Even though they have enough on their plate at the moment, it didn't stop them thinking of me when they came across a stonemason forming the image of a cat, a replacement for one that had worn away on an old building. The person concerned was talking to the stonemason and said the cat reminded them me and the upshot was that the stonemason is going to call the cat Shelley. How lovely is that?

I have deliberately removed some of the details from the message to protect the identity of the member to save their blushes. There are some fine folk on here.   :)

Aw Georgie its a tough one isn't it. Ususally he came to see me about 3.30, he would come and sit on my desk, laptop etc and generally make a fuss, I'm sure he was convinced he should be fed at that time! And you just get so used to their habits and you keep expecting to see them. Oh well, at least we enjoyed the pleasure of their company and gave them happy homes  :)

I must have missed the post about Shelley, Georgie, I had no idea. I'm so sorry. What a great age to get to though, 21, and what a lovely idea for the stone cat to be named in her honour.

Absolutely, plus we know they are not going to suffer any more.
