Coriander and basil

Thinking of sowing these today for kitchen windowsill, but wonder if it's still too cold at night for them to do well (heating off from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.)?

I won't be starting them until March, at the earliest. If they germinate they will grow slowly..  :-\

That's what I thought, but I hate having to buy them from the supermarket!
