It's stopped giving me weather details - just my Lat & Long.

What do I do??

Don't worry, Tim - it's not you. It started packing up on us yesterday, and this morning we're getting the same as you. (That's on two different computers, so it must be there end.)

Like when A4A goes down - sit it out and wait.

(Meanwhile, use the BBC. They're forecasting heavy snow again on Wednesday for us!)

Hyacinth

Same here, Tim,since I've been back and returned to white-out. I'd decided that there WAS no weather :o Fiddling around with it brought no results either..I retyped my postcode, to get the message 'Location unknown' ?

Thank you for starting the thread; praps someone can tell us what's happening/tell us how/if we can get our familiar forecast back?

Trevor_D

Or perhaps Metcheck knows something we don't.... Sinister....

No weather? Why not????

(Shouldn't have watched "Day of the Triffids" over Christmas....)

Hyacinth

Trevor, I'd heard the forecast for more snow, but didn't know where & Metcheck wasn't helping. I've just spent £96+ at Aldi, stocking up just in case - and that's going some, giving that it's the cheapest shop in town and that I live alone :o More snow? - bring it on!

saddad

Not working here either...  ::)

There is a message at the bottom of the home page - something along the lines of 'the teccies are dealing with it'..........

I am also looking forward to more snow on Wednesday :'(

Thanks so much for all that!

Interesting alternative sites, but still like the Metcheck presentation.

Patience will be rewarded?

I thought it was not working but clicked on "more" top right and my area came up with 7 days forcast.   Very odd.

tim

Yes - but that's from 23 Jan - some year??

And Saturday's not a week beginning?

Thanks Elvis.  Actually I think I used the town hall's postcode - so any nutters out there, knock yourself out!

Well spotted Tim.  It must be the result of watching that wedding ceremony.  I laughed until my glasses fell off.

There have certainly been a lot of mistakes recently - on one occasion gave the pressure as 2!  Not sure who is running Metcheck now as the owner of the site was sentence to 8 years last November.

sick..use another weather site..
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

I think they have made such a mess of things .......

Any way if you have a problem check out the BBC site. They 100 % use the met check but translate it into English.

The weather should be OK until Wednesday then it returns to the normal winter wet and windy if any one needs to know. Around normal temperatures. But there may be snow in areas prone to it.
