She didn't make it

My mad, talkative, bossy but untimately wonderfully Irish mother-in-law passed away today.  Noel was just a few hours too late, he has just arrived at his sister's home.  His sister was her main carer and having spoken to her it has not hit home yet. 

I found out before Noel because my niece posted a message on Facebook ???  I can understand that she wanted to tell her friends but at the end of the same thread she was going to chat to someone about their boyfriend problems  >:(

The only plus is that even though our daughter, Grace - 9, is devastated at least I had time to talk to her earlier in the evening.  She has cried that much I have given her lots of water and Calpol.

Sorry to hear Noel was too late, but lovely that you have good memories and are feeling sad to have lost your mother-in-law(Lots wouldn't!) I hope that you and your family can draw strength from each other and remember the good times together.

So sorry for you and yours cocopops,my mum in law passed away two years ago and we all still miss her.Opinionated,argumentative....but one of the finest people I ever met and she gave me her son.Talk to little Grace about her Gran/Nan remembering happy times is good for kids.Take care of you and yours

I was "summoned" on a miserable December day to Hospital for my Mum, several years ago now, I made it with an hour to spare. I would have been gutted to be too late.
