could be a mild winter

hi all
very mild for time of year, but what if it stays mild through winter, will you be tempted to sow early.
i did, after a mild winter i sowed early and  planted it all by the end of march , it was doing o/k.........till june....then it all bolted.....i should have known better!!

According to this it's more likely to snow at Easter than Christmas!

So even if it stays mild through the winter there's likely to be some cold weather in early spring.

Even if it is mild all winter and we have had them before, it can get very stormy in May and things get a bit battered about.

Every year its a mild winter, then all of a sudden we get a cold snap and its the coldest month on record, but if it stays mild its worth sowing a few early, then if they do bolt its only a few lost.   :-\     ;D ;D ;D

My onions are a little further on than I'd think was good for them.  I put them in middle Spetember.
