We have a TD, but I can't recall the last time it was used, it frightens the life out of me watching the leccie dial fly round ten to the dozen. It has my Stella fridge sitting on it so it has some good use.     ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Psi (Pronounced 'Si'!)

we've never had a TD even with 2 boys who are now 2 and 4.  mind you, we do moan having airers out in the dining room through winter!!!  Get right in the way!  We do have a wood burning stove though so stick a couple of airers near by over night and its dry come morning!

We have washer dryer but I never use it. We have 2 spare bedrooms with radiators. These have airers on them and we have a big airer for the larger things. I tell myself that its to keep the humidity in the house what with the central heating. I hang out washing if at all possible. Theres nowt like the smell of clean washing thats been outside.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Used an old tshirt belonging to my son for many years as a peg basket.  But don't find you get much these days out of a pair of darned socks.  Its cheaper wearing sandals.

I tumble dry everything and haven't used a washing line for over ten years.  What I use on electricity I save by not having to iron things as they come straight out of the tumble dryer and onto hangers.  They are soft too.

My brother put me onto using a tumble dryer with a buzzer.  When my incontinent mother lived with us I was overwhelmed with ironing.  My brother said that he and his wife didn't iron anything and that if clothes and sheets are taken out and dealt with as soon as they were dry and not over dried, I wouldn't have any ironing to do.

We bought a tumble dryer with a buzzer and my brother was right.  Gone are the days of struggling to put washing on the line and having to take it in two hours later because of rain.  Gone are the endless hours of ironing.    ;D ;D

I love ironing, I really do.
The other money waster my daughter can't seem to live without is fabric softener. I found it gunked up my washing machine and left a sickly pong on the washing. A good shake is all that is needed.
Smile, it confuses people.
