Made a big boo-boo when planting the asparagus a couple of years back by planting it too near to rasberries. The bed now is a mix of asparagus and rasberries with the rasberries starting to choke the asparagus.
So I was wondering if I could move the asparagus in autumn or do I have to wait until early Spring next year.

I think you should be able to move your asparagus in Autumn, when the foiliage starts to yellow. If you leave it until winter, you may not be able to find them, and moving them in spring would probably disturb them too much just before they burst into growth.
Funny to read your post about the raspberries and the asparagus, I had the same thing years ago and it was a blooming nuisance. All I did was heel in some rasps that I was given in winter, forgot about them and by the following autumn they were everywhere!

I  also intend to move my asparagus but does that ean I will have to wait years to harvest my next crop again or will they count as ature ones, even though they are replanted????

I think that depends on how carefully you move them. If there is a lot of root damage they will need time to reestablish. I think the trick is to dig a circle round the plant gently feeling your way in until you find the roots. Then try to get down under them to lift the plant! Good luck!

Think I'm going to try to move mine, if I can get them out of the couch grass! >:( As I'm thinking of giving up the plot at the end of this season I don't want to waste money on new crowns.
