Mother in law's tongue. Can it survive one lot of over watering?

My mother in law's tongue was very dry (leaves dropping).  So I watered it a bit too much.  It was standing in water for a bit (no idea how long).  Should it survive if I leave it alone for a bit?

It should do as long as you don't let it remain waterlogged. I'm assuming the situation didn't more than a brief period.

I'm not sure how long it was waterlogged for.  Up to 36 hours.  It is in an air conditioned office.

Time will tell Dave, hopefully the compost is free draining. But it should be ok, fingers crossed ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I used to put all my plants in the sink when I went away, and add a few inches of water. I never lost any, but I didn't have a MIL's tongue.
