I bought some Romano sweet red peppers from Lidl and saved the seeds.  I gave one of the plants to a friend on a nearby plot and this is the result.

Fantastic Betty. All my peppers are still green
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I did exactly the same thing, saved some Romano seeds from a supermarket pepper and had the best crop off of them! ;D ::)
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Might give that a go next year, my peppers have been rubbish this year in terms of crop size.... they taste OK though....

I did the same last year using Tesco's Ramio organic pepper, country of origin UK, this ensures that it should be OK to grow in this country – worked really well
