Bargains in Asda

Got one tin of Quality Street and one tin of Roses for £5 each (for Xmas) ha ha.  3 bottles of Pinot Grigio white wine for £10.  Sent OH off tonight to buy two more tins of chocs. for Xmas for grandchildren and 3 more bottles of wine for me.  Might open the Roses tonight, hope they haven't run out.  I am so old I can remember the days we couldn't afford sweets and they were a treat, must limit myself to 5-10 a night.  ;D ;D

Not really, I am so skinny that my Dad used to say 'be careful when you have a bath', why?, he said you might go down the plug hole and as a child I believed him.   I am one of the lucky people that can eat 3 Mars bars and a big dinner and still look like a bean pole.  The only time I was fat was when I was pregnant and even then people didn't notice.

He, HE, has come home very tired, and no Asda, so no more sweets, wine.  It was his idea to go there tonight, might go after dinner, but he is moaning as it is a frozen steak pie, and not home made.  Pots and runner beans from allotment but expect he will say he is fed up with beans.  Wish I still had a car and could drive and would have done it myself, but he was so certain he wanted to do it.  25 years of living together and he still won't do as I tell him.  I hate Asda, but must admit it is cheap.

Borlotti. I know what you mean about Asda. I always come away without half of my shopping. For some reason I am not comfortable shopping there. On the occasions that I have done my weekly shop there for a change, I usually find that the fresh veg- before lottie- had a very short life. I stick to Tesco shopping on line now. Haven't been disappointed yet. Hope you get your chocs and wine :)

Just went on Asda on-line but couldn't find the offers on Roses chocs and wine that we got there yesterday.  Oh well, best not to be too greedy, I expect the other supermarkets will also compete with good offers.  Just off to open my tin of Roses.

Got to go to Morrisons later as that is near me, so see what they have on offer.  I expect they all copy each other.  More empty tins (soon) for seeds.  ;D
