Early Yellow Crookneck

We've grown one of these for the first time (from seed given to us by Jeannine last year) and it's finaly set fruit ;D
They look smashing, about 3-4 inces long, and bulbous at the one end

Question is, how long/big should we allow them to get before picking ?
