Harvesting Green Manures

Hi all,

I have some winter tares planted and was thinking of leaving a small amount to mature to collect the seeds for next year.
Has anybody done this, with tares or any other green manures, got any tips?

I've collected seeds from phacelia, but won't know how successfully until next year!
