Parts for McCulloch strimmer

The "bit on the endthat you bang to make the line come out"" has come off my strimmer. I've looked online and it seems you have to buy the whole spool unit which, even on ebay, is costing at least 20 quid. Does anyone know of a cheaper parts source? ( or have a broken strimmer!)
