Will it kill Asparagus if it touches the stems when applied on surrounding weeds??

Would imagine that it would kill asparagus by contact, if it's what I think its is, i.e. paraquat? Didn't think you could still get it.

Gramoxone was banned for supply in September 2007 and became illegal to use in July 2008.

What AM I saying??

I meant, of course, Glyphosate.

ACE

Although it is a weed killer, it cannot tell the difference between a weed and a plant you want to keep so it kills them all dead! Unless you have a GM crop of asparagus which can be made to be immune from weedkillers.

tim

I thought, perhaps, that it might not be taken up by the stems?

Robert_Brenchley

It's taken up by any green tissue, and I'd be extremely wary of any contact whatever with plant growth that isn't protected by a thick layer of bark.

tim

Ah, well - try it the hard way!!
