Often the tube "transplants" look better but have less depth to the root, which is balanced by a broader crown... the direct sown will not bulk out at the shoulder for a while as they are swelling a much longer root...  :-\

Carrots, french beans, sweetcorn, mashed spuds!  ;D

Chrispy

Finished off yesterdays stuffed marrow, with fresh carrots.
My corn on the cob starter did not get eaten, they had gone past their best and will be back on the compost, so tomorrow I will freeze any that are still good, and then start to eat next variety.
If there's nothing wrong with me, maybe there's something wrong with the universe!

Suzanne

had yoghurt with raspberries and blueberries for breaky.

had french bean salad with cous-cous containing char-grilled shallot, courgette, peppers and some fresh toms for lunch.

had beef stir fry - very little meat but bulked out with red onion & courgette (my OH groaned a bit) with noodles, and a side dish of stir fried broccoli with sesame seeds and soy.

I think I managed five plus portions of fruit and veg today.
