Are the stripes round the middle or longitudinal? What's it feeding on, and whaqt size is it?

Alder moth caterpillar maybe. Perhaps too many stripes though. I know they're around at the moment. If you google it you'll find a picture.

cornykev

No its not the Alder Moth. It has 4/5 stripes of each colour around the middle, I never found it feeding on anything just on the soil near the weeds I had thrown into a pile from the brassicas. It's about an inch and a half long and about a biro pen in thickness and furry I never killed then because they looked so nice, I just threw them over the fence into the park.  ???    ;D ;D ;D
