I have a bee swarm on a wegiela (?sp) right on my front drive, about 2 foot up. Left a message with the Derbyshire beekeepers contact, but meanwhile, what is the danger to anyone coming past? We've put a big notice warning people but I'd hate to get the postman stung.

Very unlikely unless he decides to play football with it... it'll probably have gone before he arrives anyway...  :-\
