hubby was out walking our dog last thurs in a park near our home when a very large irish wolf hound type dog ran at him from nowhere. charlie being the big tough terrier type he is hid behind my hubby.
flying dog hit hubby right on the shins nearly knocking him over hurting him really quite badly. chap with the other dog did check hubby was ok but never apologised just said he normally doesnt let the dog off the lead if anyone is around and as it was raining he didnt think anyone would be around.
well today had to have a trip to local gp hubby has cellulitis, on really strong antibiotics if not better in 48 hrs will have to go into hospital for iv antibiotics, we fly to spain on saturday !!

Ohh! I'm so sorry to hear that and what horrible timing. The dog owner really should hear what his animal did. Though it won't help your husband perhaps it would awaken the dog owner to his irresponsibility.

The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

debster

dont worry if we see him we will tell him, lord knows how much damage the dog would have done to a child or an old person out walking their dog
the dog was very friendly but that was the problem

Debster sorry to hear about your husband. Hope things turn out well enough for you to go on holiday. Let us know how things are.

thifasmom

oh bother, sorry to hear of this hopefully the cellulitis begins to respond to the antibiotics. I'm praying you make your flight, get him some flight socks as extra precaution as well.

Debster - what a bummer!

Unfortunately my dog did this to me 2 years ago - she is a lurcher - which  - when she picks up speed - the steering mechanism isn't so great when they are youngsters and they wallop into you.

I still have some bruising - probably permanent damage - to my ankle now - although she has now got better steering and manages to avoid me and other walkers.

Still a very nasty thing to happen to your hubby.  I am sure the dog owner is upset about what happened also - unfortunately it is sometimes a question of over enthusiastic exhuberance and not the dog owner or dog's fault really!

Have a terrific time anyway!

Hope you get to go on holiday Debster
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Digeroo

Cellulitis not nice at all.  Hope antibiotics do the trick.  Keep that leg up.  Not much fun sitting with your leg above your heart.

debster
