not too impressed by cambridge favourite or honeyeye but I'll forgive them as they don't get as much sun  :)

I grow Gariguette and Mashmello, love the taste of both. Invested in a few trial plants from France this year to try, both a Gariguette cross and allegedly even better; Ciflorette and Angelina. Jury's out on them so far........they are in pots at the moment, just having a few fruit now.
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

My Cambridge favourite are tasting great this year, last year the honeyeye was better. the malling opal were rubbish to start but they're improving...they're in their first year though.

I have had General for the year and the crop has been light but tasty.
Next year the crop should be better and the runners number 30+ so I shall not go short. ;D ;D ;D

Got them back now to put some tread on them

Kepouros

Still growing the Royal Sovereign that I`ve grown for 60 years. As far as I`m concerned there`s never been one since to touch it.

R.S. for me too.  Also been growing it for years.  Like the idea seen on here of growing 3 rows.  1st year 2nd year and 3rd year plants.  Will be starting this plan from this Autumn.  Simple but good arrangement as all ideas on here.

I like marshmallo but may try RS seeing as some of you reckon its the best
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Kea

Yes I've heard RS is the best but not as productive...might get some as it's time to replace plants.

R/S does not seem to be a very heavy cropper and it has a short fruiting time, but the taste is so good.  I might try marshmellow next year when I will have more ground.

I've grown Marshmello for the first time this year - yummy! I do think though that the plants need to get into their stride a bit before you get the best fruit. The first few berries weren't as nice. Also growing Mara de bois - again very nice and "strawberry flavoured" . Also Maxim. Not so impressed here - although some of the fruits were as large as those advertised, they were definitely in the minority. Flavour ok but not outstanding. Also growing Elvira (again ok but nothing special) and Irresistible (they live up to their name!).
However I do feel that taste can vary according to the growing conditions, and is also a matter of personal preference. It may well be a case of trial and error until you find the varieties that are right for you.

our maras de bois are growing really well and the taste is good -lots of new flowers coming and lots of runners (which are flowering) but our favourite is gariguette.
