At the risk of asking another silly one...are you all growing courgettes outside across the North?

Well, Denmark isn't exactly the north of England.........in so many ways. But for what its worth, I have courgettes, yes.

We have about nine courgette plants, which are all doing very well outside at our lottie. Have started picking some already. Think it will also be a good year for our pumpkins, and the corn is a high as an elephants eye, so we are really looking forward to lots of sweet corn in the next few weeks. busy_lizzie  ;D

Courgettes are fine outdoors- they are the only veg I've never had any problem growing!

Ours do fine as long as they are given some protection from the wind when they are first planted out (we are in Wharfedale so definately in the north) - cold winds just turn them yellow and they give up!

I have two types growing zuchinni (courgette type) and long green something (marrow type), out of the two the marrow types seem to be far outgrowing and vigorous than the courgette.  Yep am up here in the north of england bolton to be exact the home of rain.
