I have just pulled my last broad beans from a large-ish bed and am wondering what to follwo them with - any ideas?  Could I do more broad beans?  peas?  I'd like to keep legumes in this bed this year.

Also, I am just about to pull my garlic - any ideas of what to follow them with?  Is it too late for leeks (I havent sown any yet) or red onions or even more garlic?

For info I already have runner and french beans, radish, turnip, fennel, swede, kale, salsify, carrots, beetroots, squash, courgette, cucumber and salads in the ground so anything other than these would be ideal....

All ideas welcome!  Thanks!

I have just sown a late variety of Cauli & Calabrese 4 days ago in preparation for filling similar spaces.

Noticed this morning that the cauli has germinated.

I will probably fill the remaining area/s (if any) with salad crops!

I've been wondering what to use my garlic bed for and where the broad beans were and I'm going for a combination of salad crops, oriental veg, more fennel and a few cabbages that I couldn't fit in elsewhere!

Mine are going to be followed by PSB that I have in pots waiting for the space.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I was about to post the same question! Great minds think alike :)

I have some leeks ready to plant (mussleborough improved) when the garlic is ready to lift, but no other ideas for what to fill spaces with. Perhaps a green manure?
When I'm not working, I'm diggin' or craftin'

Some more pumpkins/courgettes, late cauliflowers, black kale to overwinter, or dare I suggest some late Summer flowers and herbs.......... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

to follow the BB's I am thinking a mix of more BB's (it is late I know, but maybe worth and experiment?) and peas - lots of.  Sound good?  Other than the blackfly......

Still no idea what to follow the garlic with - maybe I should buy some leek plants from the nurseries?  More spring onions too?
