Anyone know why it might be sulking? Apparently it did flower, when new, but for the last couple of years, has not. It's in a shady position. What might cause a honeysuckle not to flower? Wrong soil type? Too dry? Any ideas?

My guess is pruning or lack of.

There is some info here that may give you some idea as to where things are going wrong!

Thanks TeeGee! You're my guru. :) I really should spend some more time looking through your site before I post questions on here!

We have a Graham Thomas over an archway, in October 2007 I cut it down to about 4' because the flowers were sparse that year. It was OK last year but this year it's smothered. When I cut I left it in place & it was easier to take out when it had died back.
