Any hope for my onions?

Most of my seed-grown onions have had their tops chewed off. >:( Is there any chance they will recover and what is the most likely culprit? I'm beginning to think I should just net everything!

Rabbits. or sky rats...  :-\

They might but the bulb size will be seriously reduced... give them a high nitrogen feed to see if you can get some new leaves...
