Allotment in May - warts and all

Here's a slideshow - pictures taken on 10 and 16 May click on image below. I've had the plot nearly two and half years now. It was overgrown with weeds and brambles when I took it on and the soil hadn't been worked for several years - very shallow topsoil, loads of heavy clay, lots of bindweed.  The derelict greenhouse at the back of the plot (pictured) was covered in brambles and completely invisible, so I was delighted to find a grapevine growing through it.  There's still loads to do and I've made lots of mistakes (like growing asparagus too close to raspberries!), but the plot's now producing a lot of good stuff. I'm particularly pleased with the things I've overwintered - onions, Aquadulce Broad Beans, Garlic and Butterhead lettuces.

Well done! I can see all the hard work you must have done to get great looking crops on the go  :)

What a lovely plot! You have worked hard, love the grapevine... ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
